Summary
Finch units are cross-laminated timber (CLT) units produced by De Groot Vroomshoop.
Details
The unit has been used as a home and reused as a demonstration space in the GTB Lab. The unit has been sawn in half to create a light space in the centre. Daylight is an important indicator of the transformability of buildings. Unlike reinforced concrete, CLT is relatively easy to cut. After reconnecting the installations of both halves, it functions as a demonstration space.
