Elma Durmisevic presents Caring Nature at Nordic Conference
Updated: 9 hours ago
The recent 8th Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare in Malmö (Sweden) showcased an impressive dedication to cross-border collaboration and harmonization throughout the Nordic region of the EU. This collaborative ecosystem provided an excellent platform to present a key output of the EU CARING NATURE project: the Green and Circular Compass Dashboard. The Dashboard's primary objective is to operationalize green and circular concepts within healthcare architecture.
It aims to operationalize green and circular concepts within healthcare architecture. Utilizing a multi-criteria optimization approach developed by 4D Architects Amsterdam, the tool integrates three critical pillars: circularity indicators (developed by 4D Architects), energy efficiency, and well-being indicators (both developed by Archipelago Architects).
Thanks to our colleagues from UCLouvain (the Université Catholique de Louvain), Daniela Perrotti and Daniel Otero Peña, we were able to touch upon nature-based solutions and highlight their key relationships with green and circular healthcare building design.
Balancing circularity and environmental performance with human-centric design will ultimately help us design more resilient healthcare facilities for the future. Thank you to the organizers for the opportunity to share these project results and expand the dialogue beyond the project's scope.
