The holy grail of reversible architecture

During the Barcelona Architecture Weeks 2024, a master international studio from the Politecnico di Milano presented their research on building the future through circularity in the Barcelona Pavilion. Key to this design challenge is understanding the often invisible "connectors" that hold a building together. According to Prof. Dr. Elma Durmisevic, the connector is the holy grail of reversible architecture.

The Connector Event Barcelona is organized in the context of the EU Mies Awards in pleasant cooperation with the host Ron Jacobs (Jansen AG) 30 April 2024. Thanks to Dubravko Bacic (Architects Council of Europe), Duncan Baker-Brown (BakerBrown Studio/RIBA), Anna Sala (Curator of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation), the Polimi students and all those present for sharing their views on the transition to a circular economy in EU construction.
